What does it take
to get great illustration today?
Innovative, fresh
talentmaybe a little offbeat, maybe not what you see everywheremaybe
exactly what strikes your client like the moment of truth.
Combine 23
years' experience in the business with painstaking attention to your needs, your
deadlines, your budget, your likes and dislikes and what do you have? Ann Koeffler,
Artist Representation.
I spent my early
years surrounded by the natural beauty of Eagle Lake,Wisconsin. But I'd be lying
if I said that I knew from the beginning that artist representation was my destiny.
I could have continued my early career in social work, but...
I had this thing,
this feel for art. I had an eye for it, a love of it. It first manifested itself
in a San Francisco antique business, wholesaling art deco jewelry and objets d'art
as well as clothing from the 40's and 50's.
From there I moved
on to a premier art gallery, not just selling artwork, but also but selecting
it, arranging openings, handling promotions. All this during the tight dollar
days of the early 80's.
After a few years
there, I was ready to head out on my own. I knew good art and how to promote it.
I put the two together and that's how it all began.
I am proud that
my artists are exceptionally talented, highly professional, and have impressive
track records. You can always count on them to add that touch of unexpected insight
and go the extra mile.
